Fun Times at Tea Hill

Today Sean, Auntie Linda and I went to Tea Hill to meet with some other ladies and their babies. It was a beautiful day! It was quite warm so we went down to the beach and the breeze off the water was wonderful!

Sean reached another milestone today! I had been playing with him on the floor when I got up to make his supper. He decided that sitting on the floor was not enough, it was time to stand up! So he leaned over to the chair, gripped onto the edge and pulled himself up!! He has pulled himself up off my lap before but this was the first time he got up from the floor! So exciting!

Sometimes You Feel Like a Nut...

So, yeah here's a fun pic from our walk the other day. I'm not entirely sure why there was a basket in the trees but this squirrel seemed pretty pleased that it was.

Welcome Home Grammy Peric and Auntie Linda!

Today was fantastic!! The sun was shining, the sky was blue but most importantly Grammy Peric and Auntie Linda are home at last! Sean was ever so happy to see his relatives again! He had lots of smiles and wiggles for them! We went for a lovely walk down on the boardwalk and stopped for a quick photo shoot...enjoy!

Okay so this one isn't from the walk...Sean enjoying his cherrios..well at least his chin is!

What a beautiful family.

Sean is very happy to be with his Auntie Linda.

What a little cutie.

Sandspit Fun

Yesterday Bonnie, Abby, Sean and I had a great time at Sandspit. We even tried the little ones out on a couple rides! We rode the train and the carousel. Sean was not at all sure what to think of the carousel. He wouldn't let go of my shirt and at times I had to move up and down with the horse so as to keep from flashing people!! Still it was fun, he did seem to enjoy the train, thankfully it just goes around a track and not up and down!

"Are you sure we should be doing this, Mommy?"

Bonnie and Abby riding the rails.

Abby has some powerful kiss to share with her Mommy.

Not quite sure why Sean's mouth is hidden by his overalls.

Funny thing is this is probably the only train left on the much for the trains of Confederation!

Today Sean and I went for a walk in a park not far from our subdivision. It's really quite a beautiful spot, just in behind a seniors home. I had bought some bubble stuff before hand and thought this would be a fun photo op and it was but it was mighty difficult to blow bubbles and take pictures at the same time! While we were there we met the yard keeper whose name is Shawn..that was fun!

Some of Sean's favourite things to do:
Bounce up and down in his excersaucer while Daddy tries to kiss him on the head
Once standing, flinging himself at Mommy
Bouncing in his Jolly Jumper
Gumming everything
Trying to take the phone from me
Trying to eat grass
Smiling at everybody
Somehow getting himself from one part of his crib to the other through the night
Pulling my hair

A view from the park.

A field of bubbles.

Sean and the bubbles.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, Bonnie, Abby and Sean and I are headed to Sandspit for some fun. Hopefully we'll have some great pictures to share from that.

Father's Day Part 2

Here are a few pics of our day on the mainland with my family. It was a beautiful day! The Ferry ride went really well, Sean enjoyed watching all the people. We made a special trip to see Sean's Great Beppe (Gramma). Beppe seemed quite pleased to meet Sean and Sean really liked Beppe. While visitin Beppe Sean also got to meet a very friendly puppy named Chloe, she's a Chiuaua Lhasa Apso mix.

A cute pic of Daddy and Son on the Ferry.

Fun with Photos

It has come to my attention (via my mother and sister in law) that in one of my pics, Marko appears to have an amputated foot. I am happy to report that this just isn't the case. Marko still has function of both his feet! The camera lied! In the pic, what looks like Marko's pant leg tied at the end with an elastic is really just a pillow I made. Sure looks funny though! See for yourself...

Happy Father's Day!

This is Marko's first Father's Day! So we're off to the mainland to visit with my family. This will be Sean's first time on the Ferry, should be fun!

On Saturday Marko got to spend the entire day with Sean while I worked. Sean had a wonderful time playing with his Daddy all day! And I think Daddy had at least as much fun if not more!

Here are a few pics from their day:

"This is fun, Daddy. Could we do this everyday?"

"Bring out the toys, Daddy. I'm ready to play."

"Hi Everybody!"

"My fingers are oh, so tasty!"

What a Beautiful Day!

Today was gorgeous outside, unlike yesterday which was just yucky. The sun was shinning and the breeze was warm. Sean and I went to the park with some other ladies and their little ones for some summer fun. In the afternoon I introduced Sean to his new playpen, so cute. Afterwards we headed back outside to take in some more good weather down at Victoria Park. This was really the first time Sean has had a good chance to see cars go by, he was quite interested in them. He would watch one car go by one way then watch the next car going the other way!

Sean is so funny. Today while we were playing, I made a tower out of four of his peek-a-boo blocks, no sooner had I put the final block on top then Sean's chubby little hand would pop out and bring the whole thing down, I would gasp in mock shock and he would laugh! So I made another tower and again Sean set out to destroy it and this time instead of waiting for me to react he just started laughing!

Oh, and on Thursday Sean had his shots and was weighed and measured. He is now 20lbs 13 oz and 27 1/2 inches how this boy grows and grows!

"mmmm, yummy ball."

"This is a pretty neat play pen, Mommy."

"You're so funny, Mommy."

"Well, would you look at that, the tree goes right to the sky."

"I love playing in the park."

"I'm ready for my bath!"

We went swimming today!

Yes, today was our first go at swimming in a pool. Unfortunately it was a little before bedtime so I don't think Sean got as much out of it as he could have. He fell asleep in the car on the way over and I was really torn whether we should go in or should I have just turned around and gone home, but I figured I'd gone this far - might as well dive right in! Sean for the most part just let me bounce him along and swish him about. He did some splashing but wasn't too impressed when it got in his face. I think he enjoyed it though. Hopefully he'll get more out of it next time.

Here are two cute pics of him in his Tigger Swimmers:

"See Mommy, this is how I will kick my legs in the water..."

"Alright I'm ready, let's hit the pool!!"

A Word to the Wise...

Today I realized that it is wise to periodically go through clothing that may be too big for my little guy. I thought I'd go through some of Sean's 12 month old clothes just to see if maybe he would fit into some of the things...I found this super adorable white dress shirt and a sweet little bowtie. I immediately put Sean in the shirt and tie..Unfortunately Sean's already too big for the shirt, I couldn't get the button at his neck done up. The shirt must have been for a pretty small 12 month old. Oh well, I did find some other things he'll be able to wear.

Sean started fruit today! He had 2 servings of applesauce and some banana. He enjoyed the applesauce but he really goes for the banana. I've given him bits of banana before, but he really seemed thrilled with it today.

Isn't this adorable?

"There, now that I've got the toys outta the way, I can get in here!" (isn't just like a child to go for the container instead of the toy?!)

Open the door, get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur.

Just Because We Think Hes Cute

Just thought I'd post a few new cute pics of our little sweetheart. Hes just so much fun, so busy. He wants to get into everything. Today we dropped the mattress in his crib, no small feat. But I'm glad its done, since hes been trying to pull himself up these days we figured this was the safest thing to do, not that hes about to haul himself outta there but still.

Anywho, here are the pics:
"And just what, pray tell, are you looking at?"

Yes, we have been voted best parents of the year for putting our son's pants on his head!

"Well, hello there.."

Aren't they just the cutest?! I love them to bits!

MMMM..Yummy Peas

Sean has now pretty much ran the gambit on vegetables finishing off with peas..yeah not exactly his idea of a good time but hey it's good for him so he's gonna eat it...eventually. This weekend we move on to the exciting world of fruit beginning with applesauce! May the games begin!

"Yeah Mom?! This is what I think of your peas!"

Sean of the Jolly Green Beard.

I just thought this was so adorable that I had to post it!

6 Months Old Today!

Yep, our little guy is all of 6 months old! Today we went to the doctor's for his checkup,he was really good, he didn't pee on anyone or anything. He is a whopping 20lbs 2oz and 27 inches long. So yeah, he's a big boy! Just such a cutie. He is all about the babbling now, it sounds something like this: "ba-da-ca-da-ha-ba-da" interspersed with the occasional raspberry!

"Say Whaaaa?"

"I'm a big boy now!"

"I love sitting on my daddy!"
