Just a Couple Pictures of the House

So here are just a couple pics of the house we're moving to. It's a big old home to be sure. There's 7 bedrooms in it! We figure that we'll lock down the loft completely to help cut on heating costs. The house is situated on 4.5 acres of land and it has a waterfront view! So cool! :)

Looking Forward to Sunday :)

This Sunday we are headed to the mainland!! Cannot wait! Just 4 more sleeps! Sean is pretty excited to go see his Gramma and Grampa Hope too! Dad is doing well and Mom and Karina are keeping the business afloat! Can't wait to visit with them!

Another secret that we've slowly been letting out of the bag is that we're moving! We're headed to Lower Montague! This will be decidedly wonderful for us since this will put us just 15 minutes away from Marko's work! So no more 1 hour commute for him!! You may be asking when we're moving and the answer to that is...we're not sure. The story behind the house we're moving to is a little complicated, but the short story is that it's the opportunity of a lifetime. We had the place offered to us for two years and all we have to pay is the heat and lights. We're pretty excited about that! The thing is that the house does need some major repairs. Mostly the roof! Lots of damage there and it's gonna take some money (we don't have to pay for it mind you, but because of this cost there may be a bit of a waiting time before anything gets done to the place) We're praying that the money will come sooner than later and hopefully we'll be up there sometime this summer! I'll have to post some pics of the place for you.

My pregnancy is going well. I do get nauseated over smells and such and end up gagging and the like a bit but I'm used to it so it's not too big a deal...although dirty diapers require a bit of a prayer before I crack 'em open!

And have you ever had one of those times when you're having a most delightful visit with a friend that you lose all track of time?! I was having such a great visit with my friend Carolyn, just chatting and laughing and crying and more laughing that when I finally asked what time it was it was nearly two o'clock!! IN THE MORNING!!!! Yikes! Not a smart move for a pregnant lady with two kids at home who would be up in less than 5 hours!! But ya know, I wouldn't have changed it for the world! Too much fun talking!! Hmmmm, I wonder who I get that from, eh Mom?!!

And I'm sure this is something else I get from my mom...the sillies! I love my hat!! :) And yes, they are all clean diapers!!! LOL

We brought out Sean's old trampoline to see how the little girls would enjoy it...They LOVED it!

Hannah especially got a big kick out this thing!! :)

And I just have to say I LOVE this picture!! Emma-Lyn decided that she should wash Sean's hair.

Hey Look, Another Post!! :)

I figure for now, whenever I think to blog and have time and stuff to blog about I'll get right on it! :)

And I can't believe I didn't mention Easter in my last post! Easter here was pretty laid back. The night before Marko and I hid the eggs for Sean and Emma-Lyn, we were pretty excited to see what Emma-Lyn would think of the whole thing. Funny part is that we all got up late. It was after 7:30 when the kids finally got up and then we didn't get hunting until after 8. Emma-Lyn loved the Easter eggs...she loved them so much she wanted to eat them with the wrappers on!! Sean was very good at finding the Easter eggs and sharing them with Emma-Lyn. We read the Easter story to both of them and really enjoyed being together as a family. We were invited out to Grammy MacKinnon's for dinner. (aka Jennie's mom) And it was wonderful! So much food and good friends (really they're family) and Grammy even had a little treat for all the grandchildren! Yum!

This weekend has also been really nice. Marko had worked extra late on Monday and the boss let him have Friday off!! We decided to go out for lunch as a family. Sean picked Mosaic...not exactly the most kid friendly place but it's what he chose so we went. It was wonderful! The meals were great and the kids did great too. I was afraid that they would get bored and get noisy but they didn't. There was a fish tank handy for them to look at so that kept them amused! :) I was surprised at how relaxing it was to have a meal out as a family! Must do this again sometime!

Tonight we went out to the Sky's for a dandy waffle supper!! Yummy! Miriam and Marko were our resident waffle makers, so we had a taste off! And Marko won! He was pretty pleased about that. It was really nice to visit with them, eat lots of waffles and have some prayer time before they head out on their concert tour.

Emma-Lyn's first go at pig-tails! Too funny!

The kids all enjoying their suckers at Grammy MacKinnon's. They all got their own stuffed dog too. Emma-Lyn has taken quite a shining to hers. After nap, she'll grab it and her blanky before she'll let you take her out of her crib!

Sean has really gotten into puzzles lately and this is favourite!

Hunting for Easter eggs...keeping up a Hope tradition here in skipping out on baskets and using plastic bowls instead :)

She found one!

So its been awhile...

I don't know whether it's because nothing too interesting is going on here or maybe I'm spending way too much time on Facebook but its nearly been two weeks since I last updated this thing! Yikes! I'm gonna have to get back into a schedule or something to keep this up to date:)

Sean continues to be a really big helper. He loves to help you do whatever you're doing. He's starting to get the knack of pouring his own juice for himself...this we discovered the other day as he got the jug of juice, got up on a kitchen chair and proceeded to pour juice in his cup! There was some spillage but considering it was his first attempt, he did a really good job of it!

Today was especially funny, to me anyways. I had bought some new furniture polish and Sean has just been dying to try the stuff out. And today was Polish day! Every time we turned around he wanted to know if it was time to polish! We finally did get to it and he was in there just a scrubbing his little heart out. It's a non-chemical cleaner so I thought it would be okay for him to do.

People have even noticed Sean's helpfulness when we're out and about. One time he helped daddy take the bread to the counter and the clerk was so impressed he gave Sean a lollipop. He was mighty pleased about that! It's funny you know, even with these special times I find myself getting caught up in all the "No, don't do that!," "Please stop hurting your sister!" "Would you please get DOWN from there!!!" That I can loose sight of how much fun it is to be my chidren's mom.

I really have to stop myself, settle down and just watch them and ENJOY them rather than nit picking every last thing that they do. I know they aren't perfect (neither am I) and I don't want to waste this precious time trying to make them that way and becoming more and more frustrated when they don't. They are precious and wonderful and I just LOVE them to bits, the good and the bad, I'll take it all just to be their mom.

Oh and Sean was so sweet tonight at super. We were having Chicken a La King and he asks, "Who made it?" (sometimes we have cassaroles or spaghetti sauce that Gramma Hope has made for us) and I said, "Mommy did." And with the biggest smile ever he looks at me and says, "Thank you Mommy!" pause..."I need to come over there and hug you." He hugs me and I whisper, "I'm so glad to be your mom..." He replies, "I'm glad I get to be your boy." Cue heart melting music...

Picture time, most of these are from awhile ago but were stuck on my old compy.

We went sledding and Emma-Lyn had a BLAST, this girl loves speed!

Sean and Emma-Lyn having a nice little picnic together on the kitchen floor.

Emma-Lyn continues to climb everything and anything and tries to do everything that her big brother is doing. These two are so sweet together...that is when they're not stealing toys from each other or whapping each other.

My happy little princess! :)

What a Great Little Helper

Sean just loves to help! I love it! After supper he'll clear the table and he is just so excited about it. I'll be getting Emma-Lyn into the tub and he'll rush in to tell me that he's going to clean the kitchen just for Mommy. So cute. He loves to help with the dishes and pretty near anything that you're doing. He even got a special treat from the clerk at the bread store for helping his Daddy bring the bread to the counter. He was mighty pleased to pick out his own sucker!

It seems that PEI might actually be getting some spring weather!! Finally! We even went out with our friends Brian and Bonnie and their girls for a walk on the boardwalk. Sean and Abby had a great time running and meeting people. I'm so excited about warmer weather. To see green grass and leaves on trees and the warmth of the sunshine would be fantastic!!

We're actually hoping to move this spring/summer if things pan out. We're pretty excited about this. We've loved our apartment but it would be nice to move into a home! I'll let you know more details as we get things worked out.

And now some pics:

All of us out on the boardwalk... Such a great day!

Emma-Lyn in her cute little sunhat

Sean and Abby in front of the big whale display they had in the Confed Court Mall. This was really quite cool and I have a few other pics I should post of this. You could actually walk inside it, all Jonah style! :)

Emma-Lyn and her first go at pigtails!! What a nutter! But so cute and yeah there's a bit of a gash in her tongue, she fell out of her rocking chair and bit her tongue pretty good.

My two cutie pies standing on the ottoman...this is Emma-Lyn's favourite thing to do these days!
