Last Monday I had 7 kiddos under 5 here! It was plenty o' fun! There were three 4 year olds, two 2 year olds, one 10 month old and a 4 month old. It was a busy day of taking one little one to the potty, another to the change table, then off to the play pen while another was off to the crib and then off to the high chair or the living room or.... I think you get the idea...I was in a constant moving of one child to one place or other! :) Got to unwind that evening by playing the Wii with Jennie! So much fun!
On Tuesday we went to Bible study and after lunch we went shopping. Sean got new rain boots that look like fireman boots (He has decided that he's going to be a fireman when he grows up now) and Emma-Lyn got a cute new yellow spring jacket.
On Wednesday Nate had a doctor's appointment. The lad is the picture of health! He is 16 pounds 12 ounces and 25 inches long! He was super cute in the waiting room and enjoyed being held by a couple of Grammies that just gushed over him!
On Thursday we had Amanda and her kiddos over for a play date. This was their first visit so the kiddos had some warming up to do but by the time they had to go they were having a fine time of it and we Mommies had a good chat too!
Friday turned out to be cleaning day! Emma-Lyn and Sean decided that I needed lots of help so they quickly got in on the action. They both swept, mopped and emptied the dryer with me! Sean is really quite good at mopping and Emma-Lyn was quick with emptying the dryer. They worked together to bring the basket of clean clothes into the living room.
On Saturday we did our grocery shopping and stopped in to check out the pets at the pet store...There was one parrot out of it's cage that managed to climb up a customer's pant leg! Both Sean and Emma-Lyn thought the snake was quite fascinating but I'd much rather a dog from the SPCA any day! Marko and I both got our hair trimmed while we were out, which was also nice.
Today we went to church, had a quiet lunch at home and then headed to Carson and Sarah's for a visit. Their oldest son, Issac and Sean are both in the same Sunday school class and have a lot of fun playing together so this was awesome for them! Their daughter and Emma-Lyn are also pretty close in age as is their youngest son is just about the same age as Nate. So all in all, pretty good layout for each kid to have their own playmate.
Emma-Lyn our ever budding adventurer also decided that this would be the day she would go to the park all by herself! We let the kids out to play in the backyard and all was going smoothly until Emma-Lyn spied the near by park (just across the road) No sooner did we hear the other children yelling that she had gone, then Marko spotted her headed for the slide. I don't think I've ever run so fast in my life! And she was just pleased as punch when I got there and she was at the top of the ladder, just waiting for me to go around and catch her at the bottom of the slide!
Never a dull moment! :)
See! Still more less then dull moments at the Peric's! I know it may not look like it but Marko is having fun...just not so jazzed about the ceramic tile at this point.
Jumping for joy!
Sean's solution: The drool cup! Nate is forever drooling up a storm these days!
My little princess! :)
And our little Nator Tator sitting like a pro! :)
