While the US is staring down the barrel of it's wild and wacky election, Prince Edward Island has also been working on an election of sorts. We've been discussing the matter of how our members of government ought to be elected. Is the old way the best way or are there other ways that may be a better representative of what people actually voted for?
Personally, I think that our current first past the post system is misleading and does not actually reflect how people voted. If a person can be elected even though more people didn't actually vote for them then that's a problem. Voting continues across the Island until Monday night.
