This morning Marko took the boys to town for a men's breakfast. They were very excited to get to go along and hang out with some of their little friends as well.
Emma-Lyn and I also went out for breakfast here in Montague. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Lady's Slipper Cafe in the mall. Afterwards we picked up some nail polish and lip stick for our our spa time at home.
We walked briskly home as it was plenty cold out. We quickly got out all my make up stuff and had a ball getting all dolled up. We even got the curling iron out. Emma-Lyn picked out a movie and we plunked our fancy selves in front of the t.v. until the boys came home.
We had a light lunch as everyone had stuffed themselves silly at breakfast and then Emma-Lyn and I went on our regularly scheduled date. We went to Tims for some hot chocolate and donuts. We followed that up with a drive out to Knox's Falls and Dam and we frolicked in the winter wonderland.
After supper I took Sean and Emma-Lyn in town with me for a special evening for moms. My beautiful friend Emily and her husband Peter, put on an amazing evening for us all. They had child care provided while the moms were treated to some art instruction. Peter is an amazing artist and this evening he taught us to paint a rose. There was lovely music playing in the background which made the whole experience so soothing and enjoyable.
We were wonderfully pampered. We took breaks and we were treated to some coffee and tea and fruit and a chocolate fondue fountain! And there were cheese and crackers and sausages and the best punch I've ever tasted. And after we finished our masterpieces we got to take home a real rose as well as a little Starbucks ornament.
Such an amazing day!
Mr. Peter Ross- such an amazing artist and fantastic instructor!
